Summer Athlete Membership

It’s that time of the year again as we start thinking about off-season training for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2017! 

Over the past 10 years, Human 2.0 Performance Coaches have worked with many top amateur and professional athletes & teams in multiple sports, and are currently running all strength & conditioning programs for the Ottawa 67’s (OHL), Ottawa Jr. A Senators organization (CCHL & Midget AAA), Lady 67’s (Midget AA) and the uOttawa Gee-Gees (CIS) Varsity program. 

The Human 2.0 Athlete Membership focuses on developing athleticism through movement-based training techniques. We structure everything around the intention of building a solid foundation of body awareness and the ability to move well and with strength through a full range of motion in every joint whenever possible. This is our FIRST priority. Without that ability, we question the safety and effectiveness of doing more.

Of course, we do address all areas of sports performance including speed, general strength, agility, flexibility, balance, power and reaction time, but we feel that by paying special attention to “mobility” (strength + flexibility combined in a single range of motion – you can read more about that here), we can help you avoid every athlete’s biggest limiting factor, and that is injury. Remember, you are only as strong as your weakest link!

We also take care to really educate our athletes along the way – so not only will they know what they are doing, but more importantly, they know why they are doing it. We are extremely form-focused, meaning that we make sure that everyone pays particular attention to HOW they move, all the while, doing so in a challenging, yet fun environment.

Furthermore, we are a fully integrated facility, so athletes can make use of our extra services such as orthopaedic and sports medicine care, physiotherapy (this, at a reduced rate for members), massage, athletic therapy, bracing, and nutritional guidance.

The Human 2.0 Athlete Membership Spring/Summer Phase works to peak Fall Athletes for their tryouts and camps in August.
